2023 Classic Camp: Camper’s Choice

Classic camp campers 10 and older will choose a Camper’s Choice activity to focus on throughout the week. All Camper’s Choice tracks include the option to participate in the high ropes course. 

Eight and nine-year-old campers will experience an exploratory program introducing them to each of our Camper’s Choice options with activities such as crafts, climbing wall, sports and games, science experiments, and more. 

 

Teamplay: Campers will participate in sports, games, and teambuilding activities focused on building skills such as encouragement, collaboration, and problem-solving. Examples of activities include human foosball, volleyball, soccer, Eagle ball, and more! 

Making the Mark: Campers will participate in target-focused activities focused on building skills such as goal setting, encouragement, and overcoming challenges. Examples of activities include archery, Bazooka Ball, and an obstacle course. 

Mountaineering: Campers will participate in climbing and rappelling activities focused on building skills such as climbing safety, goal setting, and conquering fears. Campers will begin the week building foundational skills on our climbing walls and end the week trying their new skills out on rock faces on the property. 

Create: Campers will create a variety of arts and crafts focused on building skills in creativity, adaptability, and encouraging an attitude of wonder and gratitude for natural and created beauty. Examples of activities include painting, nature crafting, and carabiner bracelet making. 

Perform: Campers will participate in activities focused on building skills in improvisation, self-confidence, creativity, and communication. As a group campers will choose to explore options such as theater, music, and/or dance. Campers will have the option to share an example of something they learn with the camp. 

Outdoor Life: Campers will participate in activities focused on building skills in teamwork, ingenuity, perseverance, and encouragement through hiking, camping, and outdoor survival. Campers will learn fire building, campfire cooking, and enjoy an overnight campout. 

Experiment: Campers will participate in activities focused on scientific exploration, collaboration, and deepening awareness and appreciation of the world around them. Activities will include robotics and several outdoor science experiments. 

Explore: Campers will experience a selection of activities representing every choice. This is a great option for campers who want to try it all, or have a better understanding of different options to consider for future years.
