The Woman’s Missionary Union of Virginia (WMUV) has owned and operated four camp facilities since 1917: Baptist Lodge, The Cedars, Viewmont, and Camp Little Cross Roads.

Lottie Moon, Virginia’s beloved missionary, lived in the house at the Little Cross Roads in China. The WMUV had helped to fund her home which was also used as a special retreat for the women of China. Therefore, when property was purchased to build a new camp and combine the others, the camp was named in honor of Lottie’s home.

CrossRoads celebrated 25 years in May 2010. From 1985 until 1998, the camp was affectionately known as Camp Little Cross Roads. In order to more effectively reflect the mission and goals of the year round center, the name was then changed to CrossRoads Camp and Conference Center.

The center is in the Blue Ridge Mountains about half way between Lynchburg and Charlottesville, Virginia. It is located 5.4 miles north of Lowesville on Little Piney Road.

The modern year-round conference center is located on 606 acres. Purchased in 1981, the facility borders the George Washington National Forest. Majestic Blue Ridge Mountain views and the tranquil sound of the Little Piney River, create the perfect atmosphere for:

Guests can enjoy a variety of recreational activities, nature trails, vesper garden, campfire services, local scenic attractions, nearby ski slopes, waterfalls, and the beauty of the Little Piney River.
